Glossop, Derbyshire County Council: This health centre will replace the existing provision in Glossop with a new building and provide a wider improved range of PCT services. These include Children’s Services including School Nurses, District Nurses and Health Visitors, Consulting Rooms for a range of hospital consultants as well as specialist Surgeries for Dental, Podiatry, Optometry, Orthoptics and Audiology. Connection to the NHS computer network will be provided in all the Clinical Rooms. There will be one shared waiting room with health improvement information and teaching spaces to provide health education There will also be modern offices with IT connected to the NHS network to run these services. 

Whitefield, Bury Metropolitan Borough Council: This health centre will replace the existing GP surgery in Uplands Centre and add a range of PCT services. The New Whitefield Health Centre will provide additional GP space within the Centre.  A variety of PCT spaces will be provided ranging from Consulting Rooms so that outpatients appointments may be held here for Pennine Acute Hospitals giving patients a choice of referral and also specialist rooms for Diagnostics, Audiology, Dental, Podiatry Services. There will also be spaces for local services ranging from Children’s Clinics, Mental Health, Anticoagulation to providing training rooms for Health Promotion. Discussions also continue with the Local Authority to replace their accommodation on the site with new facilities for Adult and Children’s Services and include a Learning Disability Day Centre within the new building.
